Your Purpose
You will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition at Forecastr, with a focus on building and closing your own pipeline.
This is a senior, high-ownership sales role. You will operate as your own growth engine by sourcing opportunities, building relationships, and closing high-quality customers.
You will be on the front lines of Forecastr, working directly with founders and operators to help them understand their numbers, improve cash flow, and grow their companies.
Your Responsibilities
- Close New Customers: Your primary responsibility is to consistently close new business and drive ARR for Forecastr.
- Own Your Pipeline: You are expected to generate the majority of your pipeline. This includes outbound (warm and cold) prospecting, partner-driven opportunities, and leveraging existing networks.
- Help First, Sell Later: We take a consultative approach to sales. Your job is to understand founder problems deeply and guide them toward the right solution, whether that’s Forecastr or not.
- Efficiently Manage Deals & Follow-Up: Run a tight sales process. Every deal is tracked in HubSpot, and consistent follow-up is expected. The fortune is in the follow-up.
- Drive Annual Contracts: A key part of success in this role is closing high-quality customers on annual plans. A meaningful portion of your performance will be tied to annual deal conversion.
- Help Build Forecastr: This is not a plug-and-play role. You’ll help shape outbound strategy, messaging, and sales processes as we scale.
Skills & Experience
- Proven Closer: 5+ years as a B2B SaaS AE. Preferred experience selling to founders/C-suite or selling FinTech/BizOps
- Pipeline Builder: Demonstrated ability to generate your own opportunities through outbound and partnerships
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable operating with autonomy and trailblazing new opportunities
- Strong Communicator: Able to build trust quickly and navigate complex conversations
- Financial Acumen: Familiarity with financial concepts, models, and business performance metrics
You will be expected to be able to:
Compensation: $200k - $225k OTE + stock options
- Communicate effectively with prospective customers via video, phone, email, and written channels to build trust and understand business needs.
- Independently generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, partnerships, and professional networking.
- Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution.
- Conduct discovery conversations and product demonstrations to evaluate fit and communicate value
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities and opportunities in CRM software (Hubspot).
- Consistently follow up with prospects across multiple touchpoints over extended sales cycles.
- Understand and discuss core financial concepts such as revenue, expenses and cash flow with business owners.
- Manage schedule and workload to support multiple concurrent customer conversations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support successful customer onboarding and long-term retention.
- Work toward achieving individual sales performance targets.
